Trying to get Stealing Buddha’s Dinner for the THIRD time via PBS. Last two came from smoking homes. Why do I want this book so much? It got mixed reviews!

I read that, it really was just okay. There wasn’t as much emphasis on the food as I thought there would be.

Yeah I’ve heard that but I want to read it because I LOVED her debut novel, Short Girls. Also read there is a section on Laura Ingalls Wilder and apparently she’s working on a novel about her now.

What? a second on LIW? Argh. But from Jen’s assessment, this looks like a library book rather than a purchase.
