Trying to get Stealing Buddha’s Dinner for the THIRD time via PBS. Last two came from smoking homes. Why do I want this book so much? It got mixed reviews!

I read that, it really was just okay. There wasn’t as much emphasis on the food as I thought there would be.

Yeah I’ve heard that but I want to read it because I LOVED her debut novel, Short Girls. Also read there is a section on Laura Ingalls Wilder and apparently she’s working on a novel about her now. :)

What? a second on LIW? Argh. But from Jen’s assessment, this looks like a library book rather than a purchase.

    BLOB is hard

The very worst thing for me is that the bargain book store right by my house is closing.  All books are $2 and they have a huge warehouse so they are constantly putting out books.  It’s killing me!

I just need to keep looking at all these books I’m not reading!

BLOB is hard but the great thing about it, is that it’s teaching us balance. I say buy the books you want but be really honest about whether or not you’re going to read them. If you think you will, set a deadline to read them. Read any of the books that you’re getting in February by March. I think that way you know after you read the book whether or not you want to keep it.

Just don’t look! So many of the books I’m giving away were bought because they were cheap, you may never ever want to read them!
